About Me:
My name is Kira, and I am a 21-year-old with a strong passion for dog training. From a young age, I have been fascinated by dogs and the possibilities that come with training them effectively. Currently, I am the proud owner of two Border Collies—Montana (left) and Nevada (right), as shown in the photo above.
Both dogs accompanied me to college, where they became part of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture Stock Dog Team. This experience provided me with valuable opportunities to work closely with my dogs to achieve specific training goals, particularly in livestock herding. More importantly, it taught me the importance of understanding and responding to each dog's individual needs. I also learned by observing other handlers, gaining insights into various training techniques and approaches.
In addition to participating on the stock dog team, I completed coursework in dog training and behavior, canine nutrition, and other related subjects. Since then, I have continued to develop my skills by working with the dogs of close family and friends, addressing a variety of behavioral challenges such as resource guarding and leash pulling.
I am deeply committed to helping others build stronger, happier relationships with their dogs and would be honored to support you and your canine companion on that journey.
